Duties

• Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as pediatric dentistry treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic technique
• Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety protocols
• Manage electronic medical records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate dental documentation and coding
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
• Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a general or pediatric dental clinic setting
• Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
• Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and medical imaging procedures
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
• Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently;
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and specialists
• Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in xray and Corneal polishing are preferred
