Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and supplies, maintaining strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, crown treatments.
- Take digital X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards.
- Manage patient records efficiently using EMR system CURVE, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing questions with professionalism and compassion.
- Support dental reception duties including scheduling appointments, and managing medical records.
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized according to OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver four-handed dentistry for increased efficiency and comfort during procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and pediatric dentistry practices to enhance patient outcomes. Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, vital signs measurement, and infection control practices.
- Must have X-ray license and Coronal Polsih
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management.
- Ability to communicate effectively using dental terminology and medical terminology accurately.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is desirable; certification in pediatric dentistry is a bonus.
