Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are properly sterilized and organized
• Take high-quality dental radiographs and assist with advanced imaging (including 3D scanning) while following all safety protocols
• Accurately document patient information, medical histories, and treatment notes in EMR systems (OpenDental, or similar)
• Monitor and record vital signs to support comprehensive patient care
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines
• Educate patients on procedures, post-operative care, and oral hygiene in a clear, supportive manner
• Collaborate with front desk and clinical teams to ensure smooth scheduling, patient flow, and overall office efficiency

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, anatomy, and dental terminology
• Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
• Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and operating imaging equipment
• Solid understanding of infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
• Comfortable assisting with patients of all ages, including pediatric patients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-first approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
