Duties

• Assist dentists during clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and patient setups with precision and care
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
• Manage patient records using Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Support patient intake by recording vital signs, medical history, and current medications accurately within medical documentation systems.
• Maintain a sterile environment through aseptic technique and infection control practices, including proper sterilization of instruments and equipment
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry specialties
• Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and terminology
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with attention to safety standards
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry
• Competence in taking vital signs and performing basic medical imaging procedures in pediatric dentistry environments
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team including reception staff acting as Dental Receptionists
• Certification or training in chairside assisting, medical coding, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
