POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-driven Dental Assistant who wants more than a task list. In this role, you’ll be a critical contributor to patient comfort, clinical excellence, and team alignment. You’ll support providers, advocate for patients, and help deliver a dental experience rooted in trust, clarity, and results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments with discipline and attention to detail to ensure a safe and efficient environment for every patient.
  • Assist dentists during exams, cleanings, and dental procedures, fostering trust and comfort throughout the patient’s visit.
  • Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring clarity and accuracy to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain clear and honest communication with patients regarding procedures, post-care instructions, and any questions they may have.
  • Uphold strict infection control protocols and sterilize instruments following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Manage patient records and assist with scheduling, billing, and other administrative tasks with transparency and precision.
  • Work aligned with the dental team to create a cohesive, supportive environment that delivers real results and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of our care standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Dental Assistant certification or relevant training recognized by the state of Illinois.
  • Previous experience in a dental office preferred but not required; we value a willingness to learn and embody our core values.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and trust in patients.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain discipline in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to accountability, transparency, and teamwork.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):

  • Patient Satisfaction Score: Maintain a patient satisfaction rating of 95% or higher on post-visit surveys, reflecting compassionate and clear communication.
  • Instrument Preparation Accuracy: Ensure 100% compliance with instrument sterilization and room setup protocols before every patient visit.
  • Procedure Assistance Efficiency: Assist in dental procedures with zero critical errors or delays, contributing to timely and smooth appointments.
  • Radiograph Quality: Achieve a 98% acceptance rate of dental x-rays with minimal retakes, ensuring diagnostic quality.
  • Appointment Turnaround Time: Help maintain an average patient appointment turnover time within the clinic’s standard, balancing speed with quality care.
  • Documentation Accuracy: Maintain 100% accuracy in patient records, billing, and treatment documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions, contributing ideas and feedback to enhance aligned care delivery.
  • Infection Control Compliance: Achieve zero violations in infection control audits, demonstrating strict adherence to safety protocols.
