Dental Assistant

What You’ll Do

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during a variety of procedures, including root canal therapy, extractions, impressions, and temporary crown fabrication, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort.
• Maintain and accurately update patient dental EMR records.
• Ensure compliance with all dental office protocols, including weekly spore testing, quarterly waterline testing, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to support a safe, sanitary, and compliant clinical environment.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and provide clear postoperative care instructions to support recovery and long-term oral health.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality patient care and a seamless clinical experience.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures related to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more.
• Familiarity with medical coding and documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Current dental radiology certification (required).
• Availability to work weekends (required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting.
• Proficiency in Dentrix or similar EMR systems.
• Experience with 3D scanning technology for enhanced diagnostic and treatment planning capabilities.
