Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our fun-loving, energetic, family owned private practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, and strong communication skills, and organizational skills are critical. The Dental Assistant will assist with various procedures, maintain medical documentation, and ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic. This position allows for significant future advancement and promotion into the lead assistant role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
• Prepare and organize treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
• Maintain aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Take and record vital signs as needed for patient assessments.
• Manage medical documentation accurately, including patient records and treatment plans.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and clinic efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
• Strong understanding of four-handed dentistry techniques and aseptic protocols.
• Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond to patient needs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.
• A compassionate approach towards pediatric patients is highly desirable.
• Certification or relevant training in dental assisting is preferred.

Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
