Job Title: Dental Assistant

Location: Midtown East Manhattan (Zip code 10017), 3 min walk from Grand Central Station

Position Overview: We are looking to add a friendly and motivated dental assistant to our staff that can help us provide the highest care in a comfortable, calm and inclusive manner.

You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills working with highly trained professionals and having premiere dental equipment and materials.

Position responsibilities (may not reflect full list)

· Knowledge of dental software (Dentrix).

· Take digital radiographs including vertical and horizontal bitewings, periapicals, full-mouth series, as well as panoramic, CBCT, photographs as needed.

· Proficient in digital scanning.

· Take vitals: blood pressure, pulse

· Prepare trays with instruments and supplies specific to each procedure of the day.

· Prepare the patient for the appropriate procedures (example: seating, applying topical anesthetic, taking templates for temporary restorations, preliminary impressions, etc.)

· Assist the doctor during restorative and surgical procedures.

· Sterilization of instruments. Keep supplies stocked in rooms.

· Organize back office, keep lab clean.

· Put away instruments in rooms and disinfect operatories between procedures.

· Minimal training in any area will be provided if needed. Will not train from scratch.

· Intraoral camera

· Scanner

Qualifications

· Dental assistant certification or similar training, foreign trained dentists are welcome. Please do not apply to this position if you have never worked in the dental field.

· Proficient in English language

· Polite and welcoming demeanor

· For non-US citizens, permanent resident cards or work permit is required

· Reliable commute, punctual

· Schedule flexibility

More information

Positions available: Part-time. No weekends.

9 hour shifts with lunch break

Salary: $30 - $33 per hour, depending on skill level. Compensated full-day working interview at $30/hour is required to estimate skill level.
