Dental Assistant - Dental Hygienist open to assisting primarily- encouraged to apply

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant to join our Portable Dental Team. We provide in home dentistry to patients that cannot get out to a dental office. The ideal candidate will need to be a team player and help to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, dental equipment and technology. You will need excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and staff. Most importantly, be honest, patient and willing to learn. Be flexible and compassionate. Most of our patients have some form of Alzheimer's disease and requires extra patience. You must have a valid driver's license and be willing and able to drive our company minivan.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use during procedures.
• Take X-rays as needed.
• Drive the company van and be efficient with using a GPS
• Know Dental Materials
• Order Supplies
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment and instruments.
• Stock supplies
• Basic technology skills
• Be familiar with inventory control

Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required
• Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment is a must!
• Experience in managing medical records is beneficial.
• Knowledge of systems like Curve or Eaglesoft is a plus.
• A strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is essential.
