Dental EDDA / EFDA (Expanded Duties Dental Assistant)

Position Overview

As an EDDA/EFDA, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting clinical productivity. You’ll work closely with the doctor to provide efficient, comfortable, and comprehensive treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Place and finish restorations (composites)
  • Assist with crown, bridge, and restorative procedures
  • Take digital radiographs and intraoral scans
  • Fabricate temporary crowns
  • Maintain efficient operatory flow and setup
  • Provide excellent patient communication and education
  • Ensure proper infection control and sterilization protocols
  • Support a team-oriented, positive work environment

Qualifications

  • Active Kentucky EDDA/EFDA certification
  • Dental radiology certificate
  • Dental assisting experience required (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong clinical and restorative skills
  • Experience with digital dentistry (Eaglesoft preferred, but not required)
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
