Dental Assistant (EFDA) – Inspire Dental (Tigard, OR)

$25–$35/hr | Full-Time | High-caliber restorative & oral surgery environment

Inspire Dental isn’t a typical general practice — and we’re not looking for a typical assistant.
We are a modern, fast-paced, patient-centered practice led by Dr. Mijin Choi, known for her precision in restorative dentistry, comprehensive treatment planning, and increasing oral-surgery demand. Our clinical volume is growing quickly, and we are ready to bring on an exceptional EFDA Dental Assistant who takes pride in clinical excellence and thrives in a high-skill environment.

This is the role for an assistant who wants to level up — someone who wants challenge, autonomy, and the opportunity to work alongside a doctor with a consistently heavy and diverse case load.

Who You Are

You’re the kind of DA who doesn’t just show up — you elevate the room.
You think ahead, you’re meticulous, and you’re confident in your skillset. You understand what it takes to support a doctor who moves with intention and efficiency. You care about people, you care about the work, and you care about doing things right.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Clinically strong, detail-oriented, and extremely reliable
  • Warm, patient-focused, and calm under pressure
  • A true teammate who values communication and efficiency
  • Ambitious — someone who wants long-term growth and higher-level dentistry exposure

Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for top-tier clinical competency:

  • Oregon EFDA certification
  • Strong cord packing experience
  • Excellence in crown margins, temps, composites, matrices, and restorative support
  • Confident, fast, accurate chairside assisting
  • Competent in digital radiography & imaging workflows (Dexis/DTX preferred)
  • Strong understanding of sterile technique & OSHA infection control
  • Ability to anticipate needs during restorative and surgical procedures

Preferred (Highly Valued)

These are not required — but will set you apart:

  • Oral surgery assisting experience (extractions, suturing, implant workflow)
  • Experience with surgical set-ups, instrumentation, and post-op protocols
  • Strong ability to manage complex, multi-appointment treatment plans
  • Comfort supporting a provider with a consistently booked and complex schedule

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be fully integrated in a higher-performing clinical workflow, including:

  • Assisting in restorative, cosmetic, and oral-surgery treatments
  • Precise cord packing and temp fabrication
  • Managing room turnover with speed and excellence
  • Surgical tray prep, sterilization, and post-op care
  • Imaging, charting, and working closely with Dr. Choi to execute treatment plans
  • Maintaining flow, anticipating needs, and supporting a busy clinical day with ease
  • Helping create a patient experience that feels warm, professional, and confidence-building
