Dental Assistant, EFDA/EDDA

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant with Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) or Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification to join our team. The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist in providing high-quality dental care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
• Take and develop dental x-rays.
• Make dental impressions and perform dental lab procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records.

Qualifications

• EFDA or EDDA certification required.
• X-ray certification preferred.
• Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency in computer skills for maintaining patient records.
