Dental Assistant – Experienced (5+ Years Required)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. This position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about patient care, works efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment, and has a strong understanding of modern dental procedures and office workflow.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on dental assisting experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, and administrative staff to provide exceptional patient experiences.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, crown and bridges including fabrication and adjustments of temporaries, endodontic, oral surgery, Implants and Ortho-related procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before patient appointments
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA and CDC standards
  • Take digital X-rays, take intraoral pictures, perform digital scanning and ensure proper documentation in patient charts
  • Accurately update and maintain electronic patient records and treatment notes
  • Provide patients with pre-operative and post-operative instructions
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and assist in managing the daily clinical schedule
  • Ensure patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering clinical supplies when necessary
  • Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of dental assisting experience required
  • Bilingual candidates, Spanish and English speakers preferred
  • Dental Assistant certification preferred
  • Proficiency with digital charting and Dentrix dental software system
  • Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy office environment
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Experience assisting in multiple specialties
  • Strong patient relationship and customer service skills
  • Ability to anticipate doctor needs during procedures
  • Comfortable educating patients regarding treatment and oral hygiene
