Responsibilities:
- Making temps, packing cord and obtaining impressions
- Use scanner, digital x-rays, CBCT, pano
- Must have a great personality, cares for patients and establishes relationships with them, gets along with staff, no drama
- Cross-trained to occasionally fill in for front office a huge plus
- Insurance verification and breakdowns, scheduling appointments, answering phones, checking patients in and out
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required
- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as Open Dental
- Ability to perform patient assessments and take accurate medical histories
- Experience with computer-assisted design (CAD) software for dental restorations is a bonus
