Dental Assistant - Full time and Part Time Opportunities!

Our well-established dental practice in Cheyenne, WY is growing! We have a second dentist coming onboard with us, so we are seeking two dedicated Dental Assistants (full time & part time) to join our close-knit team! At our practice, we believe that great patient relationships are at the heart of what we do, and we're searching for someone who shares that passion! If you’re fabulous with patients, love educating them about their dental health, and thrive in a collaborative environment, then you could be the perfect fit!

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of dental assisting experience, strong communication skills, a self-starter, eager to learn and have the ability to create a positive experience for patients. Experience with temporary crowns and Itero scanning is highly preferred.

Office Hours: Mon & Wed 8am - 5pm Tue & Thur 7am - 3pm

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming, soothing and customer service focused experience for patients.
  • Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort.
  • Take diagnostic x-rays using standard dental radiographic equipment.
  • Assist the Dentist with a high level of partnership through four handed dentistry.
  • Arrive prepared for each day and review patient charts for morning huddle.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures when needed.
  • Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patient’s chart.
  • Manage lab cases and schedule patients as needed.
  • Assist with other office duties as requested or needed.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as Dental Assistant or background in Customer Service
  • Open to cross training to support our teamwork focused office approach.
  • Effective time management skills and able to support a steady flow in Dr's schedule.
  • Able to be flexible and multi-task to meet the needs of a busy schedule.
  • Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Welcoming and patient personality with an ability to build rapport with others easily.
  • Great attention to detail and follow through.
  • Dental terminology knowledge and ability to educate patients regarding procedures.
  • Eaglesoft experience a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
