Dental Assistant II

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant II to join our growing team in our private practice!

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. If you are passionate about dentistry and have the necessary skills and knowledge, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as preparing impressions and pouring models
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Record patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft)
- Take vital signs and perform patient assessments
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations

Skills:
- Dental Assisting: Proficient in assisting dentists with various general practice procedures.
- Anatomy Knowledge: Understanding of oral anatomy and dental terminology
- Vital Signs: Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs of patients
- X-Ray: Skilled in taking and developing dental x-rays
- Patient Assessment: Capable of conducting patient assessments prior to treatment
- Medical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terms related to dentistry
- HIPAA: Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• Radiology and CPR certification
• Met hours and requirements of a DA2

Pay determined on experience

Paid holidays and accrued paid time off
