We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant - II to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics with precision and professionalism.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols.
- Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for clinical confidentiality policies.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient questions with empathy and clarity.
- Support the dental reception area by managing appointment scheduling through patient management software and assisting with patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments efficiently and following infection control standards for dental sterilization procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication regarding medical documentation, medical records, and treatment plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - II or similar role within a busy dental clinic environment.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or comparable platforms; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including chairside assisting, dental x-ray techniques, and oral surgery support.
- Skilled in infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures.
- Ability to operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other diagnostic tools confidently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection control standards and medical documentation requirements aligned with HIPAA regulations.
- Certification in radiography (X-ray) is required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are a plus.
- A proactive team player with strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
