Dental Assistant in Mount Pleasant

We are a privately owned dental practice in Mount Pleasant seeking an enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team and help provide exceptional patient care. In this role, you will assist with chairside procedures, help keep the office organized and fully stocked, manage and track lab cases, and contribute to creating a positive and welcoming experience for our patients.

X-ray certification is required, three years of experience is preferred. Dentrix knowledge and nitrous oxide certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Dentist: Support the dental team during procedures, including preparation of materials, and ensuring all necessary tools are ready.
  • Patient Care: Make patients feel comfortable and at ease, provide detailed explanations of procedures, and maintain a compassionate and attentive attitude.
  • Sterilization & Safety: Follow stringent infection control and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
  • X-Rays & Records: Take high-quality X-rays, maintain accurate patient records, and assist with charting and documentation.
  • Order / monitor lab cases; Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and maintain equipment.
  • Provide patient education and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth office operations

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification and/or relevant experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Great Attitude: A genuine passion for dentistry and a commitment to making a positive impact on our patients’ lives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
