Position Title: Dental Assistant
Location: Manhattan, NY (10022)
Job Type: Contract (Travel or Local)
Shift: Per Diem
Duration: Up to 52 Weeks (Flexible Based on Candidate Preference)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support clinical operations and deliver high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting with dental procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring a smooth workflow across both clinical and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize treatment rooms prior to patient visits
• Sterilize instruments and adhere to infection control protocols
• Assist dentists during procedures by handling instruments and materials
• Take and process dental X-rays as required
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Support front desk tasks including scheduling and basic administrative duties
• Monitor inventory and restock dental supplies
• Ensure a clean, safe, and patient-friendly environment
• Collaborate effectively with dental team members

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant
• Knowledge of dental procedures and chairside assisting
• Valid X-ray certification
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience

Preferred:

• Experience with dental practice management software
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential

Education

• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant practical experience
