Dental Assistant or RDA

We, at Yosemite Dental Care, are in search of a dedicated, hard-working dental assistant to be a part of our wonderful team in a vibrant, modern, 6-chair office located in Mariposa, California. We are in need of a dental assistant that can keep dental operatories clean and organized and assist during dental procedures.

Our dental office provides comprehensive dental treatment to the people of Mariposa County and surrounding areas. The ideal applicant for this position would have a current registered dental assistant license and the ability to work with patients of all ages and for a variety of dental procedures. Must be comfortable with on the job training (willing to train the right candidate if no experience).

DENTAL ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES, are included but not limited to :

• Assist chair-side with dental and medical procedures according to OSHA and office procedures.
• Be able to take radiographs and photos for study cases.
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
• Perform all skills associated with dental assistant license.
• Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a surgically clean work environment.

DENTAL ASSISTANT SKILLS/EDUCATION :

• Dental assistant must demonstrate exceptional hand-eye coordination and control in order to use dental instruments for exams, to provide dental assistance with mixing and/or placing materials on dental tools, products and in mouths.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Dental assistant must provide excellent customer service since the dental assistant is chair-side to the dentist and is heavily dependent on patient and interoffice personnel interaction.
• Comprehensive understanding of dental instruments.
• The ability to perform all skills associated with dental assistant license
• Comfortable with computers and some knowledge of Dentrix Ascend software program

SUMMARY :

• Successful completion of a dental assisting licensing program as per state guidelines
• Current CPR certification
• Full-time position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
