Dental Assistant (Part time- Bilingual Mandarin or Spanish)

We are looking for a competent dental assistant who will make the dentist office more efficient and pleasant for patients. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic. You will be expected to accomplish tasks independently while working as part of a team.

DA front and back office duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensure that OSHA and CDC guidelines are followed when cleaning/sterilizing instruments and workstations.
• Prepare all necessary trays for dental procedures.
• Take and develop X-rays.
• Assist dentists during dental procedure in an efficient and professional manner.
• Explain post-op instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner.
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Check in appointments upon patient's arrival
• Answer and make phone calls
• Verify insurance, collect copay, submit prior authorizations

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant with X-ray License.
• Working knowledge and experience in all phases of dental procedures.
• Demonstrated ability with 4-handed dentistry.
• Bilingual Chinese or Bilingual Spanish (Required)
• Familiar with digital radiography (Preferred)

Job Type: Part time (24-32 hours per week, 8 hours per day)

Schedule: Working on Saturdays may be required.

Location: Cover clinics in Monterey Park and Rowland Heights

Experience: Dental assisting 1 year (Preferred)

Salary: $21-23 per hour

License/Certification- required:

• X-Ray Certification
• BLS Certification (up to date)
• Dental Assistant Certificate
• Infection Control Certificate
• California Practice Act Certificate
