Dental Assistant- Pediatric (RDA & DA)

Job Summary
We are a NEW Pediatric Office, seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant (RDA & DA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with pediatric patients, providing essential support to the dentist during various dental procedures. Your primary focus will be on ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for children while assisting in delivering high-quality dental care.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Manage patient flow by greeting patients, taking medical histories, and preparing them for treatment.
  • Educate children and their parents on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Utilize dental software. Dentrix Ascend for patient record management and scheduling.
  • Perform radiographic imaging as needed, adhering to safety standards for medical imaging.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Support endodontic procedures when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of dental terminology relevant to pediatric dentistry.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, particularly in pediatric dentistry.
  • Familiarity with infection control practices and protocols is essential.
  • Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix Ascend is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques is an asset.
  • Understanding of dental terminology related to pediatric care will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
  • New DA grad will be considered if they are a good fit for the team

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

  • Dental assisting: 1 year (Required)
  • Dentrix Ascend: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Certification in Infection Prevention & Control (Required)
  • X-Ray Certification (Required)
  • CPR Certification (Required)
