At Lakeville Modern Dentistry, you’ll be surrounded by competent, driven, and kind professionals who care about doing things the right way—for patients and for each other.
Your role as Our Dental Assistant:
- Ensure patients are comfortable throughout treatment by communicating clearly, responding to concerns, and maintaining a calm, professional presence.
- Perform expanded functions as applicable, including applying dental sealants, polishing teeth, applying fluoride treatments, and demonstrating proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Capture accurate, high-quality dental X-rays, intraoral photographs, and digital scans to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Assist with real-time charting during diagnosis and treatment planning for dental caries, periodontal disease, and other oral conditions.
- Fabricate temporary crowns and take digital impressions with precision and attention to detail.
- Packing cord to prepare tooth for scanning or class V restorations.
- Maintain operatory readiness by efficiently turning over rooms and strictly following sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Maintain, organize, and care for dental equipment and clinical supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Remain compliant with all state and federal regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
- Utilizing Google Drive to create systems and processes and document workflows to build out room setups; bur block templates; equipment maintenance logbooks, and other protocols to contribute to our clear office operations where specific is terrific, vague is the plague, and to be clear is to be kind.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Doctor to understand diagnosis, sequencing, and priorities
- Contribute ideas and collaborate during our weekly team meetings when we work on the practice, not in it, for a few hours every Tuesday so we can be at our A-game :D
Requirements:
- Valid Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) license for Minnesota.
- 2+ years of experience in a dental setting (preferred, not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
