Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant or RDA to join our dynamic dental practice. Experienced candidates with 3 years of experience or more.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to maintaining a positive patient experience.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Perform medical imaging, including X-rays, to support diagnostic processes.
- Take and record vital signs of patients prior to treatment.
- Utilize 3D scanners for capturing accurate impressions as needed.
- Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Manage dental terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and team members.
- Support the dental receptionist with administrative tasks as required, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Understand and apply basic medical coding for insurance purposes when necessary.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures to assist effectively during treatments.
- Operate PracticeWeb software for patient management and record keeping.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment.
- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and recording.
- Ability to assist in various dental procedures with precision and care.
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technology in a dental setting is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
- Experience or familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus.
- Basic understanding of medical coding practices related to dentistry is advantageous.
- Commitment to infection control standards and practices within the clinical environment.
