Dental Assistant, Surgical asst- and /or Scheduler

Job Summary

We urgently need a Dental Assistant and/or Scheduler, where your enthusiasm will enhance patient care and efficiency. Very conservative, traditional Dental Office, specializing in Periodontics - where each patient treated with compassion as an individual.
You will support clinical procedures, schedule appointments. . Whether assisting chairside during various dental treatments or coordinating schedules, your contribution will be essential to our mission of delivering exceptional dental care. This office truly cares about our patients and providing individualized treatment. Need new Dental /Surgical Assistant. Be part of a Specialty Dental practice and help patients keep their teeth and achieve Dental Health Through Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.

Duties include: Patient care and education, Set-up , Clean-up, and Turn over treatment rooms. Sterilize instruments, Taking X-rays (need certification within 6 months of hire) Assist Doctors and Front Office as needed. Assist in coordinating treatment with other dentists and physicians

Must not be afraid of needles, blood, dentists or dental treatment.

Must be neat, clean, organized and able to work as an individual or as part of our team. Must be Honest, Calm, Good communication skills. Should be a Meticulous, Reliable and Responsible person!

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and providing exceptional care to our patients. If you are passionate about providing quality dental care we encourage you to apply.

  • Previous experience in a dental clinic or surgical setting is preferred, but willing to train upbeat, energetic, reliable candidate with complimentary skills
  • Hours and schedule is somewhat flexible if "regular"

Other Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), monitor vital signs when necessary, and maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and assist in converting from paper to EHR
  • Manage patient scheduling, and confirm upcoming visits to optimize daily workflow. and tract insurance pre-authorizations.
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance by safeguarding patient privacy and handling medical records securely. Processing insurance claims.
  • Act as a dental receptionist when needed by greeting patients warmly, answering phone calls professionally, and managing administrative tasks efficiently.

Experience in Dental Office, Surgical Office or other Medical Office preferred

Pay: $19.00 - $25.50 per hour
