Dental Assistant/ Tuesday-Friday ONLY!!!!

Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant working Tuesday through Friday! As a key member of our dental practice, you will assist with chairside procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure our clinic maintains the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Your expertise will help create a comfortable experience for every patient while supporting the clinical team in delivering top-tier dental services.

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
• Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Manage patient records electronically using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
• Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Educate patients on dental terminology, post-operative care, and infection control procedures to promote oral health awareness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical coding and records management is a plus.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization protocols.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients preferred.
• Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or in patient-facing roles; ability to explain procedures clearly.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant training; additional certifications in medical imaging or pediatric dentistry are advantageous.
