Dental Assistant with Hygiene focus

Key Duties:

• Assist the dental hygienist during patient cleanings and examinations to ensure comfort and safety.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Take and develop X-rays in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix, ensuring up-to-date information.
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed.
• Support four-handed dentistry techniques to improve workflow during procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Dentrix.
• Strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and terminology.
• Experience with X-ray technology and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with medical records management and infection control standards.
• Ability to effectively assist in a four-handed dentistry setting.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
