Overview
Both part time and full time dental assistant/front desk positions available. Pay based on skills and experience.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft or Open Dental .
- Assist dentists during procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments following infection control protocols, and maintaining aseptic technique.
- Take X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed.
- Provide chairside assistance during various treatments including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Record vital signs and medical history accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Manage patient medical documentation and records efficiently within EMR systems, ensuring accuracy for medical coding and billing purposes.
- Handle front desk duties such as answering phones, confirming appointments, processing payments, and managing medical records with professionalism and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Bilingual is a plus. Experience in dental field is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support for various specialties such as prosthodontics or endodontics.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental care and general health conditions.
