Job Summary
California Coast Dental Arts is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Associate to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. The Dental Associate will be responsible for delivering quality patient care across a broad spectrum of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and more. Experience with Dentrix is preferred. The position emphasizes adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations, assessments, and diagnoses using current medical and dental terminology.
• Deliver a wide range of dental treatments including general dentistry procedures, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
• Utilize advanced dental technology for imaging, fabrication, and treatment planning.
• Conduct patient education on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Apply aseptic techniques and infection control procedures consistently to ensure a sterile environment.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry for efficient patient care.
• Assist in patient assessment by evaluating medical history and current health status to tailor treatment plans appropriately.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols related to infection control and medical imaging.
• Stay updated with current developments in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties relevant to general dentistry practice.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pediatric dentistry, oral surgery techniques, root canal therapy, dental fabrication processes, and infection control protocols.
• Familiarity with medical documentation standards and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Experience providing patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for patients of all ages.
• Knowledge of anatomy related to the head and oral cavity enhances diagnostic accuracy and treatment effectiveness.
