We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dental Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental insurance processes, medical billing procedures, and coding systems. As a Dental Biller, you will be responsible for accurately submitting claims, managing patient accounts, and ensuring timely reimbursement for dental services. Duties

• Prepare and submit dental insurance claims using appropriate coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to treatment to facilitate smooth billing processes.
• Review and process medical records and dental charts to ensure accurate documentation for billing purposes.
• Follow up on unpaid claims, manage collections, and resolve discrepancies with insurance companies or patients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations, coding updates, and insurance policies relevant to dental practices.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems effectively to manage patient information and billing data.
• Collaborate with dental staff to ensure accurate recording of procedures and treatments for precise billing.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare privacy laws and confidentiality standards while handling sensitive medical records.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental coding systems including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, ICD coding, and DRG classifications.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dental procedures and treatments.
• Experience with medical billing software, EMR systems, and EHR platforms for efficient claim processing.
• Excellent understanding of medical office workflows, insurance verification, and collection procedures.
• Ability to interpret complex insurance policies and explain billing issues clearly to patients.
• Demonstrated experience in medical collection practices with a focus on maximizing reimbursements.
• Familiarity with medical records management, documentation standards, and compliance regulations related to healthcare billing.
