Position Description:

Ideal candidates will diligently complete the case load to achieve the overarching goals of the

business. The Laboratory Designer is expected to complete the provided case work in full on a

daily basis. The typical expected number of designs is 12 to 16 arches of prosthetic designs

along with other designs of night guards, Essex retainers, and other designs as necessary.

The designer must also have the capacity to work with other outsource designers to complete

finalization of designs working at various levels of the design. The designer must have great

organizational skills to keep track of all design files and to make sure that all Design files are

kept organized in the proper storage drive and updated with proper nomenclature and date.

Job Responsibilities:

- Designing Dental Restorations:

Create digital designs for dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, implant-supported

prostheses, and other dental devices using CAD software (e.g. Exocad, or similar).

- Collaborative Work with Clinical Teams and doctors:

Work closely with implant surgeons, restorative dentists, and laboratory technicians to ensure

that all designs meet the necessary clinical specifications and patient needs.

- 3D Printing and Milling:

Oversee the creation of prototypes and final restorations using 3D printing, milling, and other

modern manufacturing techniques, ensuring accuracy and quality.

- Quality Control:

Maintain high standards of precision and quality control throughout the design and

manufacturing process, ensuring that all products meet both functional and aesthetic

requirements.

- Case Management:

Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and ensuring that all

designs are delivered on schedule.

- Material Selection:

Collaborate with the laboratory team to select appropriate materials for each restoration,

considering patient needs, clinical requirements, and aesthetic goals.

- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

Address any design or technical challenges that arise, working proactively to find solutions and

ensure that cases are completed to the highest standards.

- Continuous Learning:

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental technology, materials, and techniques to

ensure that the laboratory continues to use best practices and cutting-edge solutions.

Qualifications:

-Education & Experience:

● Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a dental laboratory setting, with a focus on CAD

design and digital dentistry.

● Experience with CAD software such as 3Shape, Exocad, or similar design programs is

required.

-Skills:

● Strong understanding of dental anatomy, implant systems, and restorative techniques.

● Proficiency with digital design software and 3D printing/milling technologies.

● Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and precision.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a

team.

- Communication:

● Ability to communicate clearly with both clinical and laboratory staff to understand design

requirements and troubleshoot any issues.

● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Technology-Driven:

● Comfortable with new technologies, including digital impressions, 3D printing, and

advanced dental software tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
