Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental CAD Designer to join our innovative dental team. In this role, you will design ALL-ON-FOUR using (CAD) technology. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about combining dental science with cutting-edge technology to transform patient care.

Duties

  • Utilize CAD-CAM software to design custom dental restorations, crowns, bridges, veneers, aligners, and other prosthetic devices with meticulous attention to detail SPECIFICALLY ALL ON FOUR.
  • Collaborate closely with dental practitioners and laboratory technicians to interpret clinical instructions and ensure accurate digital models
  • Prepare detailed digital files compatible with 3D printing and milling machines for precise fabrication of dental appliances
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all designs, modifications, and production specifications in accordance with medical records and HIPAA regulations
  • Assist in the development of new digital workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in dental fabrication processes
  • Conduct quality control checks on digital models and fabricated products, ensuring adherence to strict infection control standards
  • Stay current on advancements in CAD technology, dental materials, and industry best practices to continually improve design quality
  • Support the integration of medical imaging data and medical terminology into digital designs for comprehensive patient assessments

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with CAD software specific to dentistry or related fields (e.g., 3Shape Dental System, Exocad)
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and laboratory procedures involved in dental fabrication
  • Familiarity with chairside assisting techniques and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or similar platforms
  • Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting
  • Experience working with medical imaging modalities relevant to dentistry (e.g., CBCT scans) and interpreting these images accurately
  • Knowledge of medical documentation standards, including HIPAA compliance for patient privacy and data security
  • Ability to handle precise measurements using tools like micrometers and assess vital signs when necessary for comprehensive patient care integration
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including dentists, lab technicians, and patients’ families
  • Prior laboratory experience or hands-on experience in dental fabrication is highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus
  • Pediatrics experience is beneficial for designing child-specific appliances or restorations
