Dental Care Assistant

Job Description

Prepare patients before dental procedures and assist the dentist during treatments.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments while preparing the necessary materials before each procedure.
Operate digital X ray equipment as part of routine clinical work.
Record patient treatment details accurately in medical charts or electronic systems.
Provide patients with clear post treatment instructions as guided by the dentist.
Assist the dentist during emergency situations when additional support is required.
Collect and document patient dental history along with relevant treatment information.
Manage dental materials by placing orders, tracking deliveries and ensuring proper storage.
Clean, maintain and polish portable dental equipment to keep it ready for use.
Prepare dental impressions and take X rays of the patient’s chewing structure when required.

Job Requirements

Completed diploma or professional training in a related healthcare or dental field.
At least one year of experience working as a dental assistant will be considered an advantage.
