Dental care coordinator/Receptionist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Care Coordinator/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. You will serve as the first point of contact, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting clinical staff with administrative needs. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Schedule appointments accurately using Eaglesoft
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other third-party payers, ensuring accurate billing and coding
  • Collect payments, process co-pays, and handle medical collections with attention to detail and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Manage patient records by updating electronic health records (EHR)
  • Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service and appointment coordination
  • Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and office documents while ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
  • Support clinical staff by preparing patient intake forms, updating care plans, and managing medical office documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 year experience in a dental office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental administrative support
  • Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
  • Exceptional phone etiquette combined with effective communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
