Dental Ceramist Technician

Job Summary

The Dental Ceramist Technician is responsible for designing, fabricating, and finishing high-quality dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, onlays, and implant-supported prostheses. The role requires strong artistic skills, precision, and close collaboration with dentists to achieve optimal esthetics, function, and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and layer dental ceramics for crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant restorations
  • Build and contour porcelain to achieve natural tooth color, translucency, and anatomy
  • Read and interpret dental prescriptions, impressions, and digital scans
  • Perform staining, glazing, and finishing of ceramic restorations
  • Ensure proper fit, occlusion, and esthetics of dental prosthetics
  • Work with materials such as zirconia, lithium disilicate, porcelain, and ceramic systems
  • Collaborate with dentists to match shade guides and patient requirements
  • Repair or modify ceramic restorations as needed
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and infection control.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in Dental Technology or Dental Ceramics
  • Atleast have MOH/DHA license.
  • Proven experience as a Dental Ceramist Technician
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and esthetics
  • Skilled in ceramic layering, contouring, and finishing techniques.
