We handle insurance analysis, strategy and contracting for dental offices looking to add, streamline or drop insurance and help them optimize the appropriate level of PPO participation for their practices. Job duties include:
Providing direct support to help manage client accounts with tasks such as data entry/report analysis, preparation of data to move to the next step in work flow, answering clients questions, preparing final report summaries and working hand in hand with lead consultant to provide a high quality experience from beginning to end.
Using Microsoft products, particularly Outlook and Excel to collect and manage data while also communicating by phone or email with client follow up as needed.
Requirements of the position:
· Past experience in working in the dental insurance negotiations industry with direct client contact for a large volume of clients. We are seeking someone whose experience is within the dental negotiations industry specifially as opposed to someone who has worked in a dental office doing in-house negotiations.
* Must be proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel. We do not use complex Excel features however there usually is a long learning curve in understanding the services/process we do for our clients and a basic understanding of Excel coming into the position is required. Our internal system is Asana and we do not expect anyone to have advance knowledge of this program but this position does have to be able to pick up new computer training quickly.
· The ability to multi-task and manage work flow. This position is well mapped out and has a flow of deadlines to support various people in the company so understanding how to prioritize work flow and communicate with different people about different projects is important. Must be able to move back and forth between various projects throughout the day and be ok with interruptions to work flow.
· Initiative to learn something new. This is a small niche company in the dental insurance industry. It typically takes about 6 months to learn and feel comfortable with all the pieces of how we work with clients. We are a low volume company with a high level of personal service so this job is not about juggling a large number of clients or calls but rather contains a longer learning curve of our process because we work with most clients for about a year. This is a support position but is a better fit for someone who enjoys administrative duties but is curious and wants to learn how pieces fit together rather than just rote checklists.
· The ability to work independently and self-manage. Someone who requires daily follow up to stay on track would not be a good fit for this position.
· A friendly phone demeanor and sunny personality that can maturely interact with clients as well as other staff.
· Previous experience working in a dental practice is not required but would be an added benefit.
Hours and Compensation:
Approximately 32 hours/wk. Hours are Monday – Thursday, approx. 8:30am – 5pm a week with some flexibility in scheduling after training is complete.
Employee must have reliable, high speed internet available at their home and must be able to have a designated office space at home where working no other jobs during designated office hours and where they do not serve as a primary caregiver during designated office hours.
No Friday, week-end or evening hours.
Starting salary of $22-24/hr.
