Our growing, patient focused, fee for service, dental practice is looking for an experienced, energetic, and detail-oriented Treatment Plan and Insurance Coordinator who can bridge the gap between clinical excellence and financial transparency with a commitment to creating a positive experience for our patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

As our Treatment Plan and Insurance Coordinator, you are the key to building trust and ensuring patients can move forward with their care. You will be responsible for navigating insurance benefits, presenting treatment plans, and arranging financial solutions, acting as a crucial liaison between the patient, the dentist, and the insurance provider.

- Treatment Presentation and Case Acceptance: Educate patients on proposed treatment plans, explaining procedures, benefits, and long-term value, with a focus on increasing case acceptance.

- Financial Counseling: Discuss financial responsibilities, present payment options, and secure financial commitments.

- Insurance Verification and Coordination: Accurately verify eligibility, benefits, limitations, and frequency restrictions prior to appointments.

- Claims Management: Manage the insurance lifecycle, acting as a liaison between patients and carriers to maximize revenue and minimize outstanding balances. Key duties include submitting accurate claims with supporting documentation, obtaining pre-authorizations, appealing denied claims, and managing aging reports.

- Patient Scheduling and Follow-up: Coordinate scheduling for comprehensive treatment in line with the clinical team, and manage follow-ups for unscheduled treatment plans.

- Office Administration: Support front office team during peak hours by answering phone calls, collecting patient payments, and scheduling necessary appointments.

Qualifications and Skills

- Experience in the dental office setting, specifically in treatment planning, financial coordination, and insurance billing.

- Proficiency with Dentrix dental practice management software is a plus

- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial/clinical information clearly and empathetically.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in order to maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial tracking
