Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, friendly, and detail-oriented Dental Check-Out Receptionist to join our team. As the final point of contact for our patients, you play a key role in delivering an exceptional experience while ensuring a smooth and accurate check-out process. Your primary responsibilities will include verifying insurance eligibility, presenting treatment plans and collecting copays / fees at check-out, electronically processing completed insurance claims, processing templated letters, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities:
- Present treatment plans and review fees with patients
- Collect copays and outstanding balances at check-out
- Verify insurance eligibility and submit electronic insurance claims
- Answer phones (second) and schedule appointments, answer patient questions and concerns
- Process post-treatment letters using established templates
- Accurately collect and maintain patient information, including insurance details
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing, and document management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Previous dental office experience required (front desk or assisting)
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and insurance processes
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with dental practice management software and multi-line phone systems preferred
