Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and personable Dental Front Office team member to manage daily administrative operations within our dental clinic. This vital role involves coordinating patient interactions, insurance processing, treatment planning and office management tasks to support smooth clinic functioning and excellent patient service.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems such as, Dentrix, .
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Manage phone systems with professional etiquette, answer inquiries, and coordinate appointment scheduling via multi-line phone systems.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing procedures, and collection of outstanding balances related to medical and dental services.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness while supporting care plan coordination and medical coding processes including CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding.
- Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and maintaining organized medical records.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental front office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and administrative support.
- Familiarity with systems such as Dentrix.
- Knowledge of insurance verification procedures, medical billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and health information management standards including HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with multi-line phone systems is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing tasks.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to enhance patient communication and service delivery.
- Previous clinic or dental office experience is required; experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle high-volume patient interactions confidently.
