Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, exceptional patient service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of dental office operations. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance coverage, and ensure smooth clinic workflow. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will contribute significantly to delivering a positive patient experience and maintaining efficient office management.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide outstanding customer service while managing check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring optimal clinic flow.
- Maintain precise medical records and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurate coding with CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 standards.
- Handle multi-line phone systems professionally, providing clear communication and appointment confirmations.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing inquiries, and collection of payments to support clinic revenue goals.
- Manage filing of medical records and organize patient information efficiently within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech.
- Support clinic operations by performing clerical tasks including typing reports, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology and office management procedures to facilitate seamless front desk operations.
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while managing health information management tasks.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental or medical front office environment is essential; clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is required; familiarity with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle insurance verification, billing procedures, and collections effectively.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy for administrative tasks.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively.

Pay: $24.85 - $29.92 per hour
