Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Dental Front Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for providing excellent patient service in a dental office environment. This role involves supporting the daily operations of the dental practice, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and administrative support.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointment confirmations and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle Dental billing and coding tasks.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients.
- Assist in the documentation review process for care plans and treatment notes.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Open Dental or similar.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure smooth office operations.
- Address patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Dental terminology, and health information management is essential.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, including Dentrix or Open dental software.
- Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of dental collection processes and insurance verification procedures.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.
- Strong typing skills with 10-key proficiency is a plus.
