Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive dental care and patient education. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other team members to promote oral health, prevent dental disease, and ensure a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis (teeth cleanings), periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing procedures.
- Conduct oral health assessments and document findings.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulations.
- Screen patients for signs of oral diseases, including periodontal disease and oral cancer.
- Record medical and dental histories and update patient records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment recommendations.
- Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive agents.
- Assist dentists in diagnosing and treating dental conditions.
- Maintain infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable state dental board regulations.
- Manage patient appointments efficiently and provide exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and patient care standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records preferred.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $400.00 - $550.00 per day
