Schedule:
- Tuesday (8-5pm) & Friday (7-2 pm): General/restorative dental office
- Wednesday & Thursday(8-5 pm): Periodontist's office
- Restorative office and Periodontist's office are located across the hall

We are seeking a licensed dental hygienist to join our friendly, patient-focused team. This is a unique opportunity to work in both a general dental office and a periodontal specialty practice, both equipped with brand-new, up-to-date technology and designed to support high-quality care in a comfortable environment.

What We’re Looking For:
- Current dental hygienist license in WA
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Detail-oriented, with a gentle and thorough approach
- Experience in periodontal therapy is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work well in both general and specialty settings

Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, medical history reviews, and dental examinations to identify oral health issues.
- Conduct professional cleanings, including scaling and polishing, while educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
- Assist with various dental procedures such as endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry to support the dentist’s treatment plans.
- Manage electronic medical records using EMR systems ensuring accurate documentation of treatments and medical coding. Experience with CareStack is a plus but not required.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and post-procedure care instructions to patients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Support the dental office team by coordinating appointments with the dental receptionist and managing patient flow efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with a strong background in general dentistry.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as CareStack for managing medical records and documentation.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding to accurately record procedures and diagnoses.
- Experience performing patient assessments including vital signs measurement within pediatric dentistry or adult care settings.
- Ability to handle medical documentation with precision while adhering to HIPAA standards for patient privacy.
- Prior exposure to specialized fields like prosthodontics is highly desirable.
