Dental Hygienist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist in maintaining optimal oral health for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings and oral prophylaxis for patients
• Conduct patient oral health assessments, including charting and periodontal evaluations
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Apply preventive materials such as fluoride and sealants
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Assist the dentist with exams and treatment planning as needed
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene
• Current state Dental Hygienist license
• Certification in CPR/BLS
• Knowledge of dental software and digital charting systems
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with digital X-rays and periodontal therapy
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Excellent patient education skills
