Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Duties

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
  • Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment plans to promote lifelong oral health habits.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic medical record (EMR) systems on Dentrix
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations by ensuring patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records and documentation review processes.

Requirements

  • Valid Dental Hygiene license from an accredited program with current certification to practice in the state.
  • Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
  • Proficiency in dental office software Dentrix, along with familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation review.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while demonstrating excellent patient care skills in pediatrics or adult dentistry settings.
  • Strong communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and documentation review processes involving medical coding when necessary.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
