Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. Our dental office is committed to continuing education on the impact the oral microbiome has on overall health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional care to our patients by conducting learning labs, using guided biofilm therapy, ozone therapy, salivary diagnostics, and sleep apnea treatment.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, vital signs as well as oral, head and neck examinations.
• Screen and educate patients on Sleep Apnea.
• Use GBT on patients
• Diagnose and perform scaling and root planing procedures.
• Perform adult and pediatric prophys.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Take and interpret radiographs as necessary for patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Monitor and maintain accurate patient records using Oryx software.
• Assist in pediatric dentistry by providing care tailored to younger patients, including education on oral health and the placement of sealants.
• Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with dental team

Experience

• Experience in patient assessment and education.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is preferred.
• Proficiency in radiographs.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic dental charting.
• Understanding of dental coding.

Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 32.0 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• No weekends

License/Certification:

• Michigan Registered Dental Hygienist License (Required)
