Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. Experience in pediatrics and knowledge of dental coding are advantageous but not mandatory.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
• Provide preventive dental care by cleaning teeth, applying sealants, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
• Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment within the dental clinic.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions.
• Stay updated on the latest dental practices and technologies to provide optimal care.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
• Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with infection control standards.
• Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; experience with pediatrics is a plus.
• Strong skills in patient assessment and ability to assist in various dental procedures.
• Knowledge of dental coding is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards patients.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
