Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health.
Our office is growing and undergoing a remodel. Provide care with brand new chairs and equipment. We work an alternating schedule currently rotating Wednesday through Friday, followed by Monday through Wednesday. Enjoy a six day weekend every other week! Will be adding a fourth day in the future if interested.
You will work closely with the dentist and patients to provide thorough cleanings, assessments, and education, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental hygiene procedures combined with your compassionate approach will help foster long-term patient relationships and contribute to the overall success of our practice.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Take dental radiographs to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Follow infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and caring for pediatric patients (pediatrics).
- Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments and materials efficiently.
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement and monitor patient health during visits.
- Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic technique.
