Dental Hygienist

Job Summary:

We are excited to announce that we are are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team! As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing

- Take dental x-rays

- Conduct oral cancer screenings

- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions

- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and maintaining a sterile field

- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records

- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies

Skills:

- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for treatment planning

- Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment

- Familiarity with dental office procedures and workflows

- Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans

- Understanding of medical coding for accurate billing purposes

- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions

- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality

- Excellent documentation skills for maintaining accurate medical records
