Dental Hygienist Assistant

We are looking for a dental hygiene assistant to join our dental office! Qualified candidates will have an interest in a long-term future in the dental profession, excellent communication skills, be personable, positive, energetic and friendly, team-oriented, organized and able to multi-task.

Normal office hours through the summer are 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Throughout the school year, office hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

-Assisting the dentist and hygienists chairside as needed

-Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures

-Helping to educate patients and ease dental anxieties

-Taking x-rays as directed by the dentist and updating/maintaining electronic charts and treatment

-Sterilization and infection control of instruments, equipment and treatment rooms according to CDC/OSHA and ADA and local guidelines

-Assist with inventory

-Scheduling of patients and explanation of insurance coverages in cooperation with the front office staff

-Perform other administrative duties as needed (lab work and preparation of cases for labs, answering phones, checking on patients post-operatively, etc.)

-Maintain BLS certification and Wyoming radiograph permits

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
